Hello everyone,
It been a while since I shared here on LGC.
Lately, I'm noticing that a lot of Local guides got suspended: part of them are real spammers but some of the other part are legit LG that contribute without knowing what they should & should not share on Google Maps because their lack of knowledge about LG rules. They mix Google maps with others social networks so they even put their selfies!!!
nowadays we tend to not read every thing especially terms & rules of using services on internet we focus more on visual interaction more than textual one. In the early days of LG Connect Google Moderator has written posts about what we could & must NOT share on Google Maps with example so we can easily understand further the rules.
So my idea is to bring those posts and transform them into a mandatory training for local guides when they register or as prompt for the old ones to remind us, before starting the contributions. Like when you fist install an app you get a introduction when use the app for the first time. LG team should make something like that.
So when a user get suspend and he has already completed the rules training, he must assume his total responsibility of violating the guidelines.
this may help reduce the complaints later (or maybe not)
here a ref of a post about uploading photos:
