Local Guides Card

My idea can be strange for some people. But I should write. I propose create Local Guides Card - like Press Card. Sometimes I have a big trouble when I want to take photos or videos for Google Maps. Of course, it depends of countries and cities. But in Ukraine (in Kyiv, capital of my country) I had many situations when it was prohibited to take photos. The store security wanted to call police. I would like to emphasize - it's no tipical situations. Ukrainian laws are very specific. I don't know about situation in others countries. Ukrainian Constitution says: people can collect all information. But law about information says: people can collect just some information. And security can prohibit to take photos and shoot videos.

Of course every time I explain who are Local Guides. I tell about program.

I propose to create Local Guides Card for 8-10 levels.

I am not sure how much useful it can be, but again we can try this on trial basis and see response. I have been to few shops and when i ask them their phone number or take pics, they dont deny it. Id cards can certainly help but not sure how much because those who want to help they can without ids.

Hello Local Guides,

So I am Mumbai's Local Guide at Level 7 (Soon reaching on 8th). I found some issue while reviewing places or food/restaurants. Whenever I go inside a shop and ask for a photograph of inside the shop, thee shopkeepers refuse bluntly stating we are stealing their interior ideas or food idea. They want us to either dine at the place or pay them something, because they don't know that "Local Guides" concepts exists and implemented by Google.

I thought about it and want your views - What if google provides some sort of badges/tshirts to top 1-2% Local guides i.e Delhi's 1% top contributer get badge having "Google's Delhi Local Guide" , so that once can walk into the store and provide the reviews better.

I think all local guides with level 4 or more should get a logo to put on their coat, so that new shopkeepers, restaurateur can recognize and easily give the details. Sometimes they hesitate to give the information.

In my view a local guide who has crossed level 6 or 7 must be given a I'd card from Google, authorizing to be a local guide.

1. This would make amateurs photographer like me to capture photos easily .as I would not have to make the shopkeepers keeps understand that why  i am taking pictures here.
