Google Maps/travel Roadtrip

So here is the idea: Roadtrips based on the combination of Google maps and Google Travel.

Google maps is great at making routes. You can add the points where you want to go and it makes a route.

When planning a Roadtrip you mostly have some Idea of which places you want to visit, however a lot

of secret gems are not found. 

This is where google travel comes in. When opening one of your places which is confirmed you 

get suggestions for places nearby based on google maps places. 

Here I selected my trip to Porto and get a lot of suggestions.

So imagine you can make a route on google maps and then save this as a trip.

This trip then shows up in google Travel, and gives you suggestion for the places which you've marked in your route. This way roadtrip preparation will become a real joy.

We'll need more information to better understand your idea. Please elaborate and explain your idea as thoroughly as possible.

Are you suggesting for Google Maps to notify you of nearby places to see when you've selected your route, like in this idea? 

If this is not the cae, please explain further.
