Create a Replace Image Option

While I was learning to make 360 pictures for Street View; I posted quite a few less then perfect images. These 360s were quite good and were accepted, but they did contain some stitch errors; I have recently reprocessed some of these early images and now have much better versions of them. Some of these images have gone on to accumulate tens of thousands of views so I am not really happy about deleting an image to replace it with an improved version - even though I would rather have a better picture online.  A replace image option would be great in this sort of situation. I could keep my views AND put a better version of the picture on MAPS. What do you  think, should be have a replace picture option?

Interesting idea, as I've thought similar, earlier images not so great, I took them down and replaced with new ones, but a replacement issue is a good idea, as long as it's the same image. I can see someone might get an idea that a photo has a lot of views and choose to replace it with something different, so how this would be accomplished is an interesting idea.

That idea could increase picture quality. I have often wanted it. One use is fine tuning cropping.  Thanks for sharing this idea.

@MortenCopenhagen  yes it's always nice to be able to revise ones work; and one of the joys of digital - we don't need to pulp 20,000 copies of the book to do so!
