Address to be Scanned by Camera.

In Google maps, we need address to be searched, but sometimes addresses are so lengthy to be typed. We have voice input in search bar, sometimes it fails, beside this we need SCAN MODE in which address can be searched using OCR Technique.

This will be more helpful in accessibility of map.

I hope this feature will be added soon to Google maps.

For your response,

Google lens is seperate application & most of the devices in this world aren't compatible with this application.

This could have been a small initiative to include this scanning features in Google Maps.

We do not have the option to scan an address in Google Maps, but only to speak and you have to pronounce the correct adress in whatever language! I think this ability to scan an address in Google Maps (Google translate already using it) gives more opportunity to find exact address without typing or speaking and many people who can't for a reason to type or pronounce an correct address get this chance to be on wright place. This is just my idea. Thank you !

WOW what a coincidence, haha, Dear @Petra_M, Why I come to this idea. I was a few days ago in a small village in Holland and I needed to find an address. I had showed to somebody the address and she told me in a classical way, go left go right... I had no much time, I had to drive and  I couldn't type the address, becouse of language setting in my smart phone and I thougth oh if I could scan this address in google maps.

Of Course Google lens is also useful, but when we have to find an address, the first what we do going to google maps. Thank you

Google Lens is always not an option. Google Must Build inbuilt function in android OS

Instead of typing the whole address into Google maps, Google can develop a feature in the app to scan the address (for e.g. a paper, card, image, etc...) by using the phone’s camera, and show the directions to the address.
