Why are some added places accepted and some are immediately rejected?

When I add a missing place, overtime I do it will say pending.  Sometimes for only a day, sometimes for a few days, and sometimes its immediately rejected.  What can I do to reduce the rejections?  What does Google need to assure that fewer adds are rejected?

Hi @JohnTurner we can't know why the system works in this way, but best practicies for adding a place are:

• be in the place, when adding
• add geotagged photos while adding the place (only on Android Maps App)
• add as many details you can to the venue

i am level 3 in local guides and level 1 in local guides connect. do i have to wait until tomorrow for the change or are these services different (sorry for maybe bad english)

We know that we are updated correctly but for unknown reasons, either it is rejected or keep pending for long.
