According to Engadget the dedicated Street View App is about to be removed from the App Stores.
https://www.engadget.com/google-shutting-down-dedicated-street-view-app-102514292.html
This means the only way to add spheres is via Street View Studio https://streetviewstudio.maps.google.com/ and other commercial offerings and that photo paths will no longer be possible to upload.
This appears to be confirmed in https://www.theverge.com/2022/11/1/23435733/google-maps-street-view-standalone-app-discontinue-suppo...
And the story that started it all by decompiling the app https://9to5google.com/2022/11/01/google-street-view-app-shutting-down/
This does make me a bit sad about photo paths.

Nothing from your previous already published work going to disappear on Google maps. @SholaIB you will be able to see and check via Google Maps app your uploaded 360 shooting even when GSV app die
Well, I started to recognize that they will bring a couple features from a GSV app to integrate them to Google Maps app and it will be one smartphone app to do many with.
I dream to see the CAMERA Icon exist in GSV app in Google Maps app!!!
If this happen, we will be able to shoot a 360 photos via Google Maps app, wow

I would expect eventually we might see these features as web apps under the maps.google.com banner, that seems to be what happens. Something gets sunset and its features turn up later in another related product.
Even bits of the grand experiment poor old g+ is centre stage on YouTube these days.

It's a shame. Recently got a Ricoh Theta V that only supports publishing 360 Streetview videos through the android version of the GSV app and it was only considered a beta feature at that. Luckily I published some Streetview of some rural roads up in Northern Ontario and some small park pathways in my local city. But after this app goes away, not sure if this camera can still work for 360videos.

@Vee-H @Mukul_Anand as of today Studio now supports 360 video so keep contributing. If it doesn't work for you yet give it time its only just rolling out. I would not be at all surprised if Paths don't come back via Studio in the future too perhaps.
