Starred Places marked as Private

Hello Local Guides,

   I want to make an enquiry : Why are Starred Places always marked as Private on Google Maps?

How do I change it to Public view ?

Kindly give me some tips on how to do that.

Because you marked them for youself to memorialize ,so it might not be for others.

@ohenebakatakyie207 Our own "starred places" are meant for our own private use as @MisterSawAye has suggested. 

If we want to create a list of places for public or to be shared specifically, we can create a new list and name it as we need appropriately. How to create a new list here. https://support.google.com/maps/answer/7280933

Once we created a new list with some places, we can choose to share it under each list settings.
