I am very happy to announce that we very successfully completed the physical meetup for distributing "Face Mask and Hand Sanitizer 1.0" . During the meetup, we distributed the brand new WHO approved multi layered ( 3 layers) face mask to those people who had no face mask, we also distributed hand-sanitizer.

We organised the meetup with the aim to stop the spread of Covid-19 and created an awareness to wear face masks among the people till the Covid-19 existed. Covid-19 is spread mainly person to person through respiratory droplets during an infected person coughs, sneezes or talks. A mask or any type of face covering can help reduce transmission and slow the spread. So wearing a face mask or any type of face covering not only protects you, but everyone around you. Everyone over the age two should wear a face mask/covering, especially in areas where social distancing is very hard to maintain like public places, train or bus stations, inside the public transportation, market, pharmacies, health centers. According to ACHN (Chicago, USA), people can spread the corona virus even before they start showing signs or Covid-19 symptoms. According to WHO, a face mask should be used as a part of a comprehensive strategy of measures to suppress transmission and save lives. WHO also says that the use of a mask alone is not sufficient to provide an adequate level of protection against Covid-19. Cleaning your hands is also an equally important to prevent the corona virus. During the meetup we the local guides supplied hand sanitizer along with face mask. We have also started a campaign to donate face mask and hand sanitizer at the public places to the person without a face mask. We have already received huge public support. We, the local guides (WBLG), have decided to continue the initiative to hand over the masks and sanitizers to the people on our own initiative without the help of any sponsor.

Now I would love to share the pictures which were taken during the meetup by LG @SajalChatterjee , LG @Anonymous , LG @Ram19 . These pictures show LG @TravelerProdipta distributes face masks and hand sanitizers during the meetup among the public without face masks. This should be referred that we all local guides contributed same during the meetup ( All pictures are not available due to the pictures were unfortunately deleted from memory card). We have distributed more than 100 face masks during the meetup.

Now some important information, if Covid-19 spreading in your area, stay safe by taking some steps, such as
(A) Take Corona/ Covid-19 vaccine.
(B) Wear a mask.
(C) Clean your hands by any hand sanitizer or soap.
(D) Maintain physical Distancing.
(E) Keep your room well ventilated.
(F) Avoid crowds.
(G) Use tissue when coughing or bent elbow.
