Pahela Baishakh-পহেলা বৈশাখ is the first day of Bengali Year. Happy Bengali New Year-1425
Pahela Baishakh is one of the most prioritize and admiring celebrations of Bengali people from Bangladesh and India. Both countries celebrate the day significantly.
People from the corner of the country love to celebrate this day. This day has no barrier of religion, political or ethnic views. They only welcome the new year. All aged people take part in different activities to do so. Like Mangal Shovajatra the wanted for everyone. Besides this road art, art exhibition at school and college, cultural session around the country, Halkhata(clearing old account book and opening new one). Let's learn some short description of these topics. People love to have Panta(rice with water) and Hilsha(National fish of Bangladesh) fry in the morning.
Alpona: Alpona is a kind of painting which is done on the road with different colors. Students and Art professionals come on the road and draw from there mind. No exact plan and schedule for drawing. They drays flowers, birds, animals and many more what they want. Look at the photo for understanding. Largest Alpona arranged at Manik Mia Avenue.
Halkhata-হালখাতাঃ Halkhata means closing the old account and opening a new account of any business. A businessman invites their customers to pay their dues and let them have some sweets. This is an ancient tradition of Bangladesh. This makes the bondage stronger between a businessman and a consumer and form a relation of beyond giving and take.
People of different age come out from home and move around with their relatives and families. This day represents the proper color of family and relationship. Young boys ware Panjabi and Girls ware Shari of bright colors, generally red or yellow or white or mix.
Even Google made a special doodle for this day. More or less this day have a remark to our culture.
