In the previous [History of IT] posts we discovered the story behind the first videogame, today i would like you to meet a very special person: Lenna.
Lenna was a playmate.
The original file was a 512x512 pixel TIFF; was created from a drum scanner of a page of Playboy as a sample, and used for many years (it's actually still used in research) as test image.
If today you can use JPG and any other compressed image format, it's thanks to Lenna!
