Equipment startup help / advise (Panono, Theta V, Canon 5D MKIII)

Hi there,

I am new to Street View and would appreciate some help in deciding where to invest my money.

I used an LG 360 to capture the required images to be part of this program however I am not happy with the quality of the images if I am to charge for my services.

I am willing to invest $2500 to purchase the Panono but I keep getting mixed reviews on the quality of the image.

If I don't purchase the Panono then I would probably purchase the Theta V but I am skeptical about the image quality. I also want to do interactive tours outside of Google so I want to capture as much detail as possible at the highest resolution.

I own a Canon 5D MKIII camera which is probably the best quality option I have available but raises a whole lot of other questions like the time it takes to do a single pano onsite and post production and how to handle moving objects or people.

I would really appreciate your opinions, preferably with links to samples of images you have captured especially if you have used a Panono (indoors) or Theta V.

@Vvincent do you have any images to show from your Panono? @StephenAbraham do you use a Ricoh Theta V?

@AGarner I wish I have a Theta V to try out the video to Street View function. I don't have one. Previously owned an LG 360 Cam, then the Samsung Gear 360 2017. Sold both.

At the moment i am using a Xiaomi Mijia 360 MiSphere camera. 23.8 MP still photos. 3.5K native video. 6-axis stabilized. Loving this camera to bits.

Voici @AGarner  comme convenu quelques clichés pris avec mon appareil photo  panono.

pour commencer  une photo de situation  :

• Un cliché téléversé en 8k  sans HDR et en mode auto

• Un cliché téléversé en 8k  avec HDR et en mode auto

• Voici en téléchargement les photosphères dans un format équirectangulaire. Définition 16k (16384 x 8192 px). Il s'agit des photos brutes dans un fichier compressé au format ZIP et d'un poids de 133 Mo. Pour l'instant je n'ai jamais téléversé de photos en 16k dans la Maps de Google. Si vous souhaitez que le fasse pour voir la définition restituée, dites le moi, le ferrai avec plaisir.

Télécharger les clichés originaux    si vous souhaitez les manipuler. Je vous les cède avec un grand plaisir. Je n'applique aucun droit d'auteur dessus.

Je vous en prie. J'ai eu la chance d'être beta testeur, il y maintenant plus d'un an. J'ai également investi dans la Theta V depuis fin décembre. Je n'ai malheureusement pas pu la tester en extérieur. Il pleut depuis 3 semaines. C'est la première fois que je vois cela. J'habite dans le nord de la France.

Dès  qu'il fait beau je ta teste sur toutes les coutures. Le but étant de l'utiliser en mode Street View avec la caméra  sur la tête et en vélo.

Et je suis  en train de réfléchir à la montée sur une voiture radiocommandée avec une perche pour les visites en intérieur.

Et bien évidemment la vidéo en 360 avec son son spatial.

Salut Vincent. J'adore la panono. As tu trouvé un moyen de realiser des coutures parfaites pour les petites pieces ? Logiciel pour sticher ?

J'ai nombreux cas ou les clients ne pourront accepter si problèmes d'assemblages...

Merci de me renseigner si tu as des pistes.

L'ideal serait que panono rende libre son logiciel d'assemblage pour relancer Celui ci autant de fois que necessaire ... pour voir si resultat differe .?!?
