Local Guides is a volunteer program, and you are not allowed to receive money or goods in your LG activity.

If you want to earn some money you can try to be enrolled in Street View Trusted program, please have a look to: https://www.google.com/intl/en/streetview/earn/

@NISANTH how we all wish. 🙂 .. me also.. but no, this is a volunteer program only. 

Actually, the truth is if there was really "monetary" benefits, then, spam will be out of control. Unscrupulous spammers will simply edit, add tons of unrelated information, upload tons of unnecessary photos etc, and cause chaos. So, there's one reason why there should not be "monetary" benefits.

@Srcmac12, no monetary benefits have ever been/are extended to Local Guides. The Local Guides is a voluntary program for individuals who contribute to Google Maps who like to help others to discover and explore their world.
