I have been to one place in Melbourne like that @EdoMac. Sadly it has closed down. When you walked through the door you stopped in an entry foyer. Each person was given a kimono to put over their street clothes. Each person is then given a hot towel for the hands, face then feet and would swap their shoes and socks for disposable paper sandals. Only after this was each person then allowed into the next room where you would sit on the mat for tea and to see the menu. Once you finished your tea and made the selection you were escorted into a booth where your food and saki would be brought to you.
This was an amazing experience but at AU$200 per person it didn't get popular enough to survive.

Hi,@MortenSI
Tuna, salmon and shrimp are also popular in Japan.
When you eat sushi, you can eat by hand, or use chopsticks.
In my case I eat sushi with my hands🍣✌

Melbourne sushi bar is different from Japanese sushi bar in various ways. However, the price per person is expensive! It seems to be a high-class sushi bar in Japan.
Originally, sushi is easy to eat☺

Most of them are cheap and sell hand rolls that you can take and eat while walking @EdoMac so perhaps they're not all that different 🙂

Maybe I should try it with the hands next time @EdoMac. I am not a wonder with chopsticks anyway, so the risk of dropping the sushi will be lowered drastically.
I really want to try those Japanese sushi places where the chef, prepares the sushi right in front of you, and puts the right amount of soy sauce on it. This is supposed to be a great experience I've heard.
