Re: Using the LocalGuideConnect message editor to create a signature

Hey @JeanRV,

I do not understand the idea behind your post. Can you please explain? We already have some topics here on Connect that explain how to create a signature:

Thanks!

Re: Using the LocalGuideConnect message editor to create a signature

Thanks @GeorgesH for giving me the opportunity to explain my ideas.

After reading the posts about Connect Live application, I thought it could be interesting for recent LocalGuideConnect members to post a log what I am doing to prepare my application

Today, as part of the application process, I decided to change the signature in my posts. As you write, there are already many posts that explain how to do that, So I made a reference to some of these posts: "I will now change the signature of my posts in Connect to indicate my intention to apply for the event. If you need information on how to change your signature, you can read: How to add a Personnal Signature from @BoyScout How I created my signature from @Badruddeen or Small secret about signature on LG Connect from @backy0175L"

At that point, after viewing my signature:

"<p><a href="https://www.localguidesconnect.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/120841" target="_blank">Jean VINCENT</a> | <a href="https://www.google.com/maps/contrib/114315763380453729003/photos/@43.4004115,-57.0940324,3z/data=!3m..." target="_blank">My Contributions</a> | <a href="https://www.localguidesconnect.com/t5/General-Discussion/Connect-Live-2018-questions-comments-amp-ap..." target="_blank">Connect Live application</a> | <a href="https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipPGfnwKfZ7InPGoqVTenStuttYbx-RPJd6iJ58Kqc4CKt_AEI2XdxPKfZCU6L2q..." target="_blank">LG Connect Event 17 attendee</a> | <a href="https://goo.gl/maps/7aRfj4SPArG2" target="_blank">From France</a></p>"

I felt I needed an HTML editor to edit this signature. And I thought, I have one:  the HTLM editor I use in this forum. When I started to edit my signature,  the editor requested a board and a message title before doing the job.

I thought the 'Getting started" board was the best one to post the message as the intention is to help Connect users with no HTML experience to write a HTML signature. And I thought posting the signature might help someone that could start from the message:

It is also possible using the editor to add a link to a photo in a post:

An example of HTML code:

<p><img src="URL of the photo" border="0"></p>
