LG Connect won't let me embed a video/photo from Google Maps , or a direct URL video link into a post. If there is a way to enable this, it would be good. I can embed a video from YouTube in a post which shows in a preview window. When I tried to embed a video from Google Maps (shared from a location), it does not work at the moment. Not sure if this is workable. (I know we can always just share the URL as a hyperlink, but I'd want a preview window in my post for these if possible).
The error message is as below.
Please enter a valid video URL. For example, a YouTube video URL might look like 'https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abc123', where 'abc123' is the ID of a YouTube video.
These are the short and long URL of the video from Google maps.

==== more scenarios of embedding media links ====
1. Link of video from Google Maps location - cannot be embedded
2. Link of photo from Google Maps location - cannot be embedded
3. Direct video file link from URL - cannot be embedded

4. Direct photo file link from URL - works and it's ok

Hi @StephenAbraham,
Video in Maps is new - so far Connect only support embedding from Youtube, let's see if Google will extend that feature to allow videos from Maps or not.
For embeeding Photos, it is correct that External Links must be a Direct File link, for it to work.
Connect integration with Google Photos is a long requirested item - we can only wait ...
I will link this post to Season of Changes - Post Feedbacks to Improve Con... for my easy reference.

Please double check the YouTube video link you have mentioned here, it seems like expire/delete.

@deepakjhic That youtube link is the standard error message from LG Connect, it's not a video, just an example of a link within the error message.

@StephenAbraham I'm not sure why you are sharing this video? create a video which will show that you are unable to embed a video.

@deepakjhic That youTube link is in the error message.. I didn't share that.. It came from LG Connect.
I was trying to share a video link from Google Maps location. LG Connect output that error with that sample YouTube link. Because currently apparently, LG Connect only supports embed from YouTube. Hope that clear up the misunderstanding. Thanks bro

Connect will automatically convert Text that looks like a URL into a clickable link.
To avoid confusions, you might need to manually remove the embedded link.
