Multiple spam/user report

Hi Googlers,

i would like to ask you to forward my request to the best team: i think that, to fight spam, selected users could be allowed to have access to a page/form where they can report:

• several images belonging to the same place
• several reviews from the same user
• a whole user contribution profile
• a place affected by spam (pictures/reviews/edit)
• several wrong pictures for the same place

for a more expedite investigation on places and profiles.

These reports should not have been subject to captcha, as the users accessing are already verified and trusted.

This program could have a name itself, something like "Trusted Reporter" (just like Trusted Verifier) and could live in the same LG ecosystem or on a new program.

This is a Google Maps enhancement request inside Local Guides program.

@LucioV I agree with you. I have seen lot of spam user posting advertisements, Irrelavant photos videos.

@AngieYC thanks but this is a Google Maps idea, not a Connect idea. I refer to spam on Google Maps inside Local Guides program.

Ở Việt Nam trên bản đồ Google Maps có rất nhiều địa điểm không có thật do người dùng tạo ra để quảng cáo, hoặc những địa điểm thực tế không tồn tại, điều này gây rác cho bản đồ, khó khăn để tìm kiếm. Vì thế xoá bỏ là cần thiết, tôi thích làm điều đó. Tuy nhiên có một số trở ngại là bản đồ vệ tinh có quá nhiều nơi cập nhật đã cũ rất khó xác định. Trường hợp ảnh không đúng vị trí và bài đánh giá vô nghĩa tôi cũng quan tâm như các bạn. Xin cảm ơn.

I support your idea.

I have only two options available to denounce street view photos.

They are:

- request blurring Formulario de denuncia de fotos Street view

- report image quality.

This screenshot is in my language that is Spanish.

The addresses do not match It is published on another page.

Nor can I do anything with the old street view photos in the time that affect business and the community that we contribute with our work.

@LucioV I completely agree. I've been spending time actually cleaning up images on Google maps especially in San Francisco. I'm reporting images that don't belong in a popular tourist location. Most of these photos are surrounding areas of a particular business, tons of selfies, and other miscellaneous pictures promoting organizations. after while becomes exhausting to verify that I'm not a bought through the various pick the image of a car or pick an image of a street light. 

the benefit of Google maps is having relevant information and the fact that so many people can load imagesthat don't really belong. I'm not even sure what the best way to continue reporting images to the Google team. I've been working on the same business for a few days now and I am glad that the images I reported last week many of them have been removed. But there should be a better way to tag users who repeatedly have the photos reported that don't belong on Google maps.

I have to agree. I have found a few accounts that I have reported over and over again for flagrant abuse of Maps, and no action has been taken. This is a very needed feature.

YES, such a feature would e really useful. I have spent a lot of time here reporting spammy and misplaced photos, but to my surprise I see no clean up effectuated. So even while I am a level 8 local guide and am contributing to Maps as a MapMaker since 2012 and as a photographer since 2014, I have no standing to clean up. Those captchas are a pain in the neck too for all the reporting that needs to be done.

@JoscelinTrouwborst that's strange because I report a lot of out of place or misrepresented photos and I go back to check when they've been removed.

I'm still a bit annoyed with the amount of selfies and group photos that have taken over populat tourist location.
