Add more options to sort by photos/videos in our Maps profile

Would be nice if we can search the photos from places sorting alphabetically  or if has a search bar.

Sometimes it's hard find some photos and if you add some photo or video after the comment (or on '+ add more photos' bottom) it not go to your comment. So is harder find on the profile place.

Being able to sort our photos not only by “most recent” (as actual), but by number of view.

and also by geo location (nearest).

It would be amazing to sort photo contributions alphabetically, especially for those of us with hundreds of photos. It would make it much easier to see if we have previously posted images for a place.

This topic was brought up before, and the last thread related to this was locked with: "We would like to thank you for your idea, but we did not manage to implement it in time. According to our Idea Exchange policies we are going to close your idea."

Any chance of this making it as a feature in the next version. Did I make it in time?

I agree with you, @R_V_B 

With about 7000 pictures the current sorting options "Newest" and "Most viewed" are not sufficient. It is impossible to scroll manually through 7000 pictures. And expecially when you have to start over with the scrolling after deleting one picture. Something needs to be done. 

When you say alphabetical do you mean after place name?  That might not be enough. Some search function in your own pics might also be needed.

I do mean by place name and my idea was to search only my photos in the photos section of "my contributions"  I only have 239 photos, and wasn't considering the users who have thousands of photos; but even then, I would think being able to narrow it down to the place name by searching alphabetically would be very useful and helpful. 

When I know an establishment is called "The Restaurant Place", having an option for searching "The R" or even "T" to search my photo stash would be much easier than scrolling through all my photos, or opening the map and zooming in while waiting for the Internet to show me if I have added "The Restaurant Place" or not.

Yes, there is a big difference between just sorting and also searching. 

Searching would be better than just another sorting option.

Another solution could be to allow the owner of a picture to delete it (or even reipliad it) after locating it on a place. That might result in a much cleaner interface.

I'm not looking to rearrange my photos. I would like to be able to find them easier to see if I have already posted a place or not, especially as the amount of my places with photos continues to grow.

@R_V_B, are you aware of the "By you" sorting option under Photos on a place?  That might be what you are looking for.

Yes, I do know about sorting photos "By You". It is a good way to find your photos when looking through all the public photos in Google Maps. I am talking about when you are looking at "Your Contributions" inside of Google Maps and are looking at your personal contributions (reviews, photos, edits, Q&A). I suppose one could always confirm whether or not they have contributed a photo of a location by using the "By You" tab, but I was thinking I would like to see an alphabetical photo sorting feature when inside the "Your Contributions" part of Google Maps.  It would be handy along with "Newest" and "Most Viewed"
