WOW!!! Lone Ranger in Penang, Malaysia.

This is my very first travelling alone. I was hesitated at the beginning, yet I really want to challenge myself and increase my self-confidence. For me, solo travelling is all about making your own decision, helping you to improve your self-esteem and decisive as a result.

Penang is one of the states located in one of the island in Malaysia dubbed as the “Pearl of the Orient”. This is the place that you MUST visit before you die. In this post, I won’t tell you anything about food since we all Malaysian know Penang is explicitly known for having the BEST food in Malaysia. But, I will actually more interest to their nature. There are two places that really caught my attention when I did my research on this island. First is The Habitat Penang Hill, second is Muka Head Lighthouse located in National Park Penang.

The Habitat is located at the zenith of Penang Hill. It serves you 130 million year old rainforest. Lot of flora and fauna can be found here. What I like the most is their Curtis Crest Tree Top Walk - (refer image). It is a viewing platform that offers mesmerizing 360-degree views of Penang. Curtis Crest is named after renowned botanist Charles Curtis. The Habitat also offers you spectacular canopy walk that we as a nature lover able to see the forest valleys and the Andaman Sea.

The second place is Muka Head Lighthouse. It is the most prominent landmark in Penang National park. It is located at the top of the hill at Muka Head. It is a white granite tower and has visible range of 25 nautical miles. It worth the hike from Monkey Beach and I can clearly see Langkawi island. I enjoyed my tracking so much.

Based on my story, you can clearly notice that I love high places. For me, when you are travelling alone, you will closer to nature and you will keep those review and opinion genuinely within yourself. I love to share my story perhaps people will get along with my storyline and help them if they want to try whatever that I’ve done. When I went to Penang hill using a funicular railway, it does provide accessibility for handicap that uses wheelchair. It’s one of the good things that Penang hill provides to society. Apart from that, find restrooms with changing table in Penang hill is a bit hard since most of them offer washroom instead of restroom with changing table. It is important to have a changing table since it will help parents to change their baby’s napkin and etc. In addition to that, snapping photo of food is a must for me not because they are my favourite food, but I love the presentation of every food that I had.

Everyone had their own experience that others couldn’t have that opportunity to experience that same thing. For me, by reviewing places and give my genuine comment, people that read my opinion will decide whether that places is good for them or not. I’m not forcing people to come or not to come to whatever places that I went through. That decision is come from them. Perhaps, any shop, places or restaurant that I reviewed will maintain or upgrade their service to provide better experience to their customer. I hope I can review more places all around the world.

Muahhhxx. Thanks for read this post.

Enjoy my Video in Penang

Teluk Duyung, known as Monkey Beach Penang, is located in Penang National Park in the north-west corner of Penang Island.

So called because of the Crab-eating Macaque’s that live around here, the beach is one of the nicest beaches in Penang Island, with a long stretch of white sandy beach that is good for swimming.

Teluk Duyung is a popular place to visit during weekends and public holidays, when many locals will come here for the day by boat to enjoy a picnic on the beach.

Head here during the weekdays and it is much quieter.

For those wishing to camp at Monkey beach, there is an official camp site near the beach.
