Why I Love Sharing on Google Maps

First things first - I love Google Maps. I started seeing it’s true potential and power the first time I got an opportunity to travel to a new country. I didn’t know much about what I could do there, but the very moment I got there, I started getting suggestions on places I could visit, and these were sites that were of interest to me. I soon realized that I didn’t even require a local guide, I had one right in my hands. It was easy to see comments other travelers had made about the different places, the proximity of the places, and it even had photos to boot. This made it easy to make decisions on places I could go with the time I had. Since this first experience, I realized that sharing experiences really helps the next guy. I started now sharing as much as I could about the different places I visited, the businesses I interacted with etc. And it was always encouraging to see that people are viewing my photos and reading my reviews, and it was helping them to plan their trips better. The personal reviews I’m able to write and read are much more helpful than any advertisements. This is why I love contributing to Google Maps.
