Why Bogor have a nick name Rain City.

Bogor is 60 kilometer South of Jakarta Capital of Indonesia.

Bogor has only two season, dry season and rainy season.

Rainy season is more chilly than dry season.

When the rainy season start.

It ieasy, the in the rainy we all facing getting wet because the rain in feel chilly and spontaneously we said “Brrr … brrr…”, after arrive in home or get a shelter to take some rest.

The Rainy season start from September to December , with "brrr"sound it the last part of the name of the month.

How come you don’t use an umbrella or raincoat ?

We facing heavy rain with wind and sometimes thunder.

In a heavy rain with wind , umbrella can not help.

It is a common way to have doubled raincoat the protect raindrop passing through to tshirt or shirt.

Years before a family can buy cloth washing machine with driyer, husbands with new born baby have a half egg shape chicken cage made from woven bamboo and put inside a pressurised kerosene lamp and put baby cloth on top of it, and let it done for one night.

It will dry.

With the logical consequent have above average noise from the pressured kerosene lamp and smell of kerosene.

You should bring umbrella or raincoat everyday , because it is commond you have a bright day light and then you got a heavy rain and it took only fifteen minute to change.

The other things in common is you go with a motor bike in a broad day light and then facing a heavy rain, after one or two kilometer,it dry again.

Even in dry season we get a rain, at least once a week.

How come there are plenty rain drop in Bogor.

Bogor city is in the middle of horse shoe shape of mountains formation .

Java sea in The North and the horse shoe shape of Mountain Salak, Gede, Pangrango and Halimun in South.

Sea water from Nothern evaporate became a cloud and move to Southern but trap in the horse shoe shape and become raindrop.

The nickname attached to the city of Bogor is as the City of Rain. Dubbed the City of Rain is not merely pinned to this one city. Data from various sources states that Bogor is nicknamed the City of Rain because it is none other than because it is one of the areas that rain most often. Rain intensity in Bogor City is higher and more frequent compared to other regions. The reason is this is inseparable from the geographical location of Bogor City which is surrounded by several mountains. Mount Gede and Mount Salak are the two mountains that surround Bogor.

In this city of Bogor, I live. Other local guides is like pak @BudiFXW , also live here
