Would that be a tool, is it’s a platform or something else?
Well, maybe not so obvious in the beginning, but it has been built already and it’s called Google Maps!
And yes it is a tool, platform, and it is many things more…
My first contact with it was modest and I wanted to find the way to certain address, this app seemed a good fit for it. As I continued to use it, I was literally perplexed by opportunities which this app could create, and then I have decided to contribute and give back to the community and become part of it.
I have started by leaving fair and honest comments about places which I have visited, and thanks to my previous job post, I have traveled around the World a lot, which gave me plenty of material to work on. These comments have the power to reach many people and they could have good traction in terms of previews. This realization increased responsibility and I knew back then, that the impact of this App is huge… to local people, local business and local economies as well as for one of the most interesting companies in the world who created it and enabled it for use to humanity. My biggest drive Today is to give helping hand to a “small guy/girl - small business owners” which are doing their thing locally and know their struggles of keeping their business up and running. I enjoy to list them on Google Maps, without them necessarily knowing it and then checking their growth over time. I enjoy posting a good review to a place who deserved that to be known, and I do not enjoy posting a critique when someone fails in what they do, but I hope that my postings will trigger positive change.
Google Maps (without any exaggeration), is part of my daily routine, and it is a single App which I can’t imagine using phone these days. It has value all over it, and this value is increasing every day.
