I currently live in Nigeria and what I love sharing the most on Google maps are the small businesses both at home and abroad. The image above is an example of a small business I put on the map (https://goo.gl/maps/K6AuPVeVvho) without even notifying the owner. I do this to help people who need products or services to locate these businesses through a google search and this helps the businesses get more clients.
I co-own a business myself and decided to use the Google my business platform to add the business to the map and this increased sales tremendously as 90% of the clients we serve discovered us through google search and we are very grateful to Google for giving us this rare opportunity to increase revenue at no cost. We also encourage our clients to review our services online for continuous improvement.
I also create time to review the businesses that I have transacted with such as hotels and restaurants in order to help people make the right choice about the services they render.
I ate a delicious meal from a Chinese restaurant, I took photos, added to the map and reviewed the service with a 5-star rating because I want people to go there and have a feel of what I felt.
I also like to put tourists sites and resort centres on the map because people always want to know where to go to have fun and relax. I recently did a tour in Europe and put pictures of such places on the map. It was really fun for me and I will continue to do all these as long as I am able to reach out to as many people as I can and make the world a better place.
