Hi, everyone.
I am a civil engineer, and I often go on business trips abroad for site surveying.
Visiting places for construction projects for infrastructures are somewhat different from tourist attractions and famous places.
It’s because you build roads where there’s no road, and you build bridges and tunnels where you can’t get through.
So, lunch boxes are usually prepared, however, sometimes we have to find out the nearest local restaurant.
Some of my coworkers don’t like so much, in fact, I actually look forward to this opportunity during our business trips.
Why? It is because I believe rather than tourist spots, these places offer real local experience.
Of course, locals may have shared the place with Google Maps.
However, as a foreigner who has different perspectives from the local people, I usually try to share my photos and feelings since it might be not so common, some kind of special experiences not only in my life but also for someone in the world.
Finally, this picture was taken last January at a small restaurant on the outskirts of Yangon, Myanmar, which was simple but delicious. Somewhat spicy sauce on the noodle, and some coriander in the soup. Thank you for reading.
