What does the Local Guides program mean to me?

The local guides program has so much to offer. Google maps is amazing, and the possibility of adding to it our own experiences and sharing with all users is undoubtedly genius!

I really like to travel, experience other cultures, different tastes and meet new people (I guess you can see that on my pictures :P)

For me, the local guides program means to be able help others, in an easy and practical way. I love to give tips, tricks and my opinion in general. I do it often with family and friends, but to be able to do it using my local guide account is a whole other level. Through the local guides program of google maps my opinions, thoughts and tips are available to everyone with internet access! It is amazing to feel part of a network of local guides spread through the whole globe, which motivation is purely to let our opinion out, so others can benefit from it.

Do I have to do something else to make my application eligible?

About your inquiry to @AlexaAC (it’s important to tag the person you are interacting using “@” so he/she will receive a notification), you’ll find all requirements in this link shared by her: application guidelines. But in short: you need to send a 1-minute video, a post in Connect, which you have already done, create a list, and fill-up the form in the official site of the event.
