The Local guides Programme changed my lifestyle since when I am travelling myself. In 2013, I started using Google maps a lot for searching the local restaurant, cafe, restaurant, souvenir shop and so on. It was helpful for me how to find the way of my life in unfamiliar area. as well, I am preparing offline google maps when I travel abroad, it is my life saver in poor internet connection country. using those functions, I am exploring each tab, I accidentally found Google Local Guides. It was quite interesting for me cause many contributors were comment and give the rate for places which they have been.
According to those Local guides, almost every shop updated their opening ours, comments and rate by them. Based on Local guides, the Google maps becomes same as professional local tour guide nowadays. It means literally copy our life on the earth into the internet.
on March 2020, I was travelling the Prague, I was staying with my friend. We keep looking for the restaurant near by us, I found the best restaurant ever I had.
At that moment I searched on Google maps and found good rated restaurant and many user’s comment in there for Korean restaurant, so I persuade my friends and finally visited there, it was a fantastic restaurant I ever had out of the Korea. I travelled lots of country, but it was the best cuisine in abroad. Google Local guides connecting me with this perfect restaurant.
Nowadays, those Local guides Programme and Google maps are company with my life so I try to make a correction if some shop have wrong opening hours or map location, it means otherwise other peoples can feels like me when I was found this system first time.
