The feeling of discovering new places is not frightening to me, but in real, inspiring.
Being a local guide isn’t only about finding that best dish or that best dessert, I like to know about the people who are behind that experience. When I recommend some places it’s because people who are going there will find not only beautiful views, images or amazing flavors of wherever food is served, but they will find a cozy place to create great memories with the people they love (can be through a family reunion, a friend’s birthday, or just a dinner-out day). And the persuit of that feeling is the fuel to my curiosity to everyplace that I get a chance to visit.
I hope my reviews were a good experience to you, as they were for me.
And I hope to meet others local guides and get much more experience.
The Initiation Well at Quinta da Regaleira, in Sintra city (Portugal) is a great memory that I made during my year-experience living in Portugal. Living in Brazil I always imagined that I would pretty much find same places and food in that country, but just like this Well vision, I was send to another world when I arrived there.
In summary this is why I love being a local guide: share the experience, and help others to also have great memories.
