Walking Street Photo: Royal Palace to Independence Monument 🇰🇭

Let’s walk the streets of Phnom Penh together.

Starting from the Royal Palace of Cambodia, passing by the yellow blooms of the Golden Shower trees, where the city feels alive with color and soft evening light.

Along the way, I captured the daily life of the street – skateboarders crossing at Wat Botum Park, people gathering near the Palace walls, and the peaceful Royal Garden where the river breeze gently touches your face.

The walk brings us to the Statue of King Norodom Sihanouk, standing proudly with the sun setting behind him, a perfect moment that speaks to the heart of the city.

Finally, we reach the Independence Monument, a symbol of freedom, surrounded by wide, green parks and people enjoying the space.

This walk is not just about the distance – it’s about seeing, feeling, and living Phnom Penh through the street.

Phnom Penh looks like a perfect tourist destination - nice photos @SophatCHY
We, too, have those yellow blossoms out here in India.

I shared a photo recently:

Thank you so much, @TusharSuradkar! Phnom Penh truly shines with its unique charm, and I’m glad the yellow blossoms connected us across borders. In Cambodia, we call this beautiful flower “លឿងរាជ” (Leung Reach), which means Royal Yellow. It’s fascinating to know that India also enjoys these golden blooms. I really loved your spring blossom post—such vibrant captures. Let’s keep showcasing the beauty of our cities!
