This turned out to be a real jolly celebration for connect at 7. I would we were about 25 local guides who attended some had to leave as a result different issues.We did not go into any real local guide stuff,just relax and celebration mode. Although I must say I had internet network issues,at the end,it turned out not too bad.Thank you to all who played special roles and made the meet up worthwhile attending. The meet up line was active at about 15 mins before the time 1.45pm (GMT+0) Marco and I chatted on freely for a while. Then 5 minutes later,other local guides started to arrive in. The meet up started at 2pm (GMT + 0) prompt.We followed the agenda which was brief introduction of the various local guides in attendance following an alphabetical order of our usernames. it was so cool to see (On screen) some very active members of TRAC campaign and to hear their voices. It was a thrill !!!

we proceeded to the side attraction which was Jay’s quiz. that turned out to be the real fun and enjoyment of the meetup. some questions about roads, TRAC campaign etc. It would surprise you how little local guides know of this forum and even about some major posts written on connect. Well I think I was not the winner of the game but was among the first 5 Lol. It was very interesting though I enjoyed it.
This was the beginning of the quiz and everyone choosing what icon they want etc.They were funny questions but also very good for us as local guides.
- Like how many points do you get for adding a road?
- Who wrote the post “how to get rid of that annoying 0”
- Who are the Host and co-host of TRAC event ?
- What were the first 2 targets of TRAC
- Etc

@NareshDarji was also present so we had a few questions regarding drawing roads. We do appreciate all his answers as a experienced connect moderator. After the questions we had to stop. We have had a good enough time together. The photos says alot about that. Thank you everyone who attended to support us and make this a very memorable and enjoyable meet-up. I love meet ups,Interactions,communication being together forming the bonds as local guides. Happy 7th Birthday connect. I would wish @Kumaarsantosh was able to attend but anyway here is post number 5 now. Only 2 more to go now. Catching up on you.

Really great to have met you all even for a brief amount of time because of connection issues. Great Job @SholaIB , @TravellerG and @MarcoDavoli for making this great effort at organizing and leading this meet-up.

It’s looks like a great meet-up @SholaIB , I’m so sorry that I couldn’t attend it even I was so much excited to join, but that time some clients came at the same time and I couldn’t free till 8pm Pakistan time and meetup was over.
But anyways, thank you so much for sharing such a great recap, I’m so happy to see many friends by screenshots of the meetup.

The greatest tip I could give you is to spend a lot of time doing it. Second one would be to mainly do roads that are connected at both ends. So it’s easier for AI to recognize it as an actual road.

Yes!!! I always enjoyed connecting and interacting with fellow local guides like this. I enjoy physical meet-up more but in the absence of that the virtual one will do. We’ll plan to organise a meet-up together sometime in the future all being well. Thanks to all who attended again @Gurukrishnapriya @PrasadVR etc. @KashifMisidia we really missed you. We also missed @TusharSuradkar but we understand life can be busy.
I am preparing my 2 last posts which must go up before July ends.
