Yo trato de denunciar los casos de abusos que me encuentro pero creo que en la mayorĂ­a de los casos no pasa nada con el reporte que hago, en ese sentido siento que mi esfuerzo es inĂştil.

Regarding your question, there are Local Guides and then there are Local Guides! My view is that we should be responsible Local Guides and report any violations when we come across them. Simples! For details on how to report violations, I suggest that you read How to identify and report fraud on Google Maps. Please note that you can report photos and reviews individually from within Maps using the procedure(s) detailed here and you can also report entire profiles for abuse on Google Maps.

Thanks for asking, @user_not_found , and for listing here the most common abuse made by contributors in Google Maps.

I will go straight to your question. “So should we clean these acts or mind our own business?”.

My answer is another question. What is, as a map user, our own business? If you are looking for information about a place, and you find a lot of selfies, duplicate photos, photos of other places added in there, stolen photos, and so on, do you find these contributions helpful for your search?

Times ago I wanted to ask a similar question: Local Guides in The Mirror - How useful are our contributions? , and I’ve got some interesting answer in there.

In conclusion, in my opinion, as a map user, a bad contribution uploaded in Maps is “my own business”, so YES, I will report it, following the indication given by @AdamGT and @Atizol
