The problem of searching for the T100 Leaderboards

Having the leaderboards spread over different categories is difficult to defend as it makes it unnecessarily difficult to find them. Having all leaderboards posted in Community & Celebrations makes sense to me. It is very much community and always something to celebrate. This would also ensure you can always use the leaderboard tag.

I disagree Morten. As you and everyone know well, the Leaderboards and the ancillary topics are much more than something to celebrate. One simple example is this very topic that we’re all engaging on. Yes it’s about the Leaderboards but @Rednewt74 correctly placed it in the Google Maps tips & tricks category and not Community & celebrations. Another example is this How-tos Leaderboard topic which best fits into the Google Maps tips & tricks category.

To my mind it’s illogical to restrict tags to the one category. Like Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube hashtags, Connect tags should allow searching across the site for all topics with the same subject, in this case leaderboards.

Is there a reason why you don’t manually add the leaderboard tag when positing leaderboards outside the Community & Celebrations category?
