Many of us are finding it difficult to follow the leaderboards in the new connect forum. People have discussed about following Adam, searching for pound sign leaderboard, and other methods. I’m not finding any of these especially successful. And it sounds like what works for one person isn’t working for someone else. I’m not going to tag Adam on this post however I will tag other LG’s who have been talking about the issue. I’m adding a pound of leaderboard tag to this post to see if it shows up when people search for that in the form search box. Well I search for that sometimes I get the actual post and other times I get a list of a post that I can’t do anything with. With other issues, such as the translation button not showing regularly, I have been reporting it using the form provided. I believe it would be worthwhile for the guides that are trying to do this report what they’re trying and how it is or isn’t working. So far the team seems to be pretty responsive to bug reports. So here it is

Just tried it but couldn’t figure it out. It all just disappeared on me. Maybe tomorrow.
@MortenCopenhagen I have tried it however a different take on my side is that the caption doesn’t says it will include the comments as well. It just says topics and posts. I am also using saved searches. But results aren’t available yet to comment further. By the way this will be my topic in coming meet up this Saturday. However we are only touching the topics let’s see what we have to for more users and in detailed manner afterwards.
If you want the replies also you need to put leaderboard under Watching and don’t forget to hit Save.
@MortenCopenhagen I have already created a watching tag for leaderboard but you can only create either one at a time. If you are tracking something you can’t put the same tag for watching. It won’t show up in the search results. I’m already watching 2-3 topics. However at no where it says it will also track/watch replies 
There is a harakiri so if you select the top one watching you get the most notifications. Except Watching and Tracking are not mutually exclusive.
I remember getting flooded with reply notifications so I changed it from watching to *First only".
Yeah the new connect is pretty much decent information wise yet some people are interested in email subscription of posts, my limited gmail storage is already flooded with map editing emails.
These tracking and watching filters are bit advanced though for everyone but they almost cover everything in case someone little more tech savvy.

Hi Alfred, I received an email notification, because you mentioned my name with @. Searching this topic with “leaderboard” or “#leadeboard” was not successful. Instead I only found three of Adam’s posts.
I believe writing ‘# leaderboard’ in the text of the topic (aka discussion) is not enough. Instead, you should add the tag in the title in addition or instead of “Connect forum”.
As the author, you should be able, to change it also afterwards. If you point with mouse to the title, there a pencil will appear. Then you can not only change the title, but also category or tags. However, I tried this with one of my topics, but it didn’t allow me to select “leaderboard” 
I wonder, how Adam managed to do this:
When hitting #, then start typing to select leaderboard on the dropdown should be plenty to get the tag done correctly.
The issue is that the tag is only available in the Community & Celebration category. But the manual tagging enables us to select more tags as needed.
@MortenCopenhagen the manual tagging works in the body of the text, but not for the title and it seems to me for search and/or notification it needs to be in the title …?

Once you select a category the AI suggest some of the most common used or the most suitable tags for the posts.
You can see if you tap all different categories
You get different tags to make you learn and make your post search-able. It auto suggests some suitable hashtags
However with all that said, in case none of the tags fits your post. You can always use yours in the the body of post which will be highlighted and after frequent usages it will also appear in the suggestion tags. These are just my guesses coz Adam used the tags nowhere maybe he selected it. Out of 3 posts 2 were made in October when new connect wasn’t in the existence. How did he got it on 16th Nov I have no idea.

Moderators can set it, but can only see it or search for it, but we as normal users cannot set in the header of a topic. It seems. while we can refer to it as ‘leaderboard’ in the body of a discussion it can neither be searched for nor trigger a notification.

I did notice mods only but I couldn’t make much of it, though it’s kidna self explanatory
Interesting that only mods and applicable staff can use it. I tried to make a comment with same but it seems it didn’t indexed in search. That’s what I was saying to Morten that hashtag in comments and replies is bit different.
The subset of tags available when creating a new discussion in each category is not selected by an AI but preselected by the team.
@AdamGT already mentioned that he was unhappy to have the leaderboard tag available in Community & Celebrations only.
It’s a surprise to me that the leaderboard tag is not available to all users. Sorry about that. But it explains why we had some trouble getting on the same page.
Would you care to check if this reply can be found in a tag search?
I would think the tag should be available to everyone and be searchable whether in the heading or added manually.

I still find only Adam’s three topics, but reflecting about it, I think for this tag, it does make sense, if can be set only in the topic header and only by moderators.

I believe @AdamGT chose not to use the tag. It sure makes finding the leaderboards more difficult.
If we go to advanced search we have different results.
The reason we are getting 3 is they are most viewed, latest topic hence most relevant
However under most liked there are n number of posts and under latest post we have 2 Adam’s and one from Prasad
With all that said I still can’t find the comments/replies that used leaderboard 
Indeed someone did lots of work as we have tens of tags with their counts however I thought maybe if we use some of our own tags frequently they would also appear here
