The most interesting thing I have done as a Local Guide is adding photos of Malta

When I started using Google Local Guides, I was so happy that there is another place I can share my photos of Malta and other places I visit. Photography and travel stories are a great passion of mine and knowing that today everybody is on Google, I thought this is a great opportunity to help them discover the beauty from the places I’ve visited so far.

I found out that there are many places missing the visual side, and we all want that, we all want to have a look at what may be expecting us in a certain destination and after all, one photo replaces a thousand words.

Most of my photos are from different places of Malta, I like sharing the natural beauties of the island, showing the lovely landscapes the country has, or photos from many locals I’ve visited.

I didn’t believe that some of those photos will have such an exposure, which gave me a sign that this is actually what people need and it is helping them to have an idea of a certain place.

All of this inspired me to start contributing in any way I can and the Local Guide needs. So far I have added some new places, but I also like answering the questions that the Guide asks me. I start from myself, and I always use Google as a relevant source for many things I need, and I truly believe it is the same for many people. The potential is so big, and there are still many places and photos to add, questions to answer and help people around the world.

One of my most popular photos is one of Golden Bay Beach, which has 36 498 views so far. This is one of the best beaches on the island and it attracts many tourists. It also offers one of the best sunset views.

Another photo that surprisingly for me has many views is from the place that I added to Google Local Guides and that is Malta Postal Museum. This photo has more than 40 000 views.

All the photos I have added so far have 168 016 views and that makes me very satisfied and happy.

For me, I fell like the journey on Google Local Guides has just started and my list is long. I hope it will bring value for many travelers around the world, and that I will help in presenting Malta in the best possible way.

Many of my personal experiences and recommendations I share them on my blog Travel Story Post, but I am more than inspired to also share the best of the travel advice and photos on the Local Guides.
