As always @Gurukrishnapriya , a great educational post of your culture! I love Kolams as they are so beautiful, bright and colourful! I didn’t know that there is a wet version as well! I’ve only ever seen the dry/rice types! Thanks for sharing and looking forward to your next one!
Thanks a million. Many small practices which are really valuable are wiped away, in the name of superstitious beliefs. But we should know it. This is a small effort from me to pass on to next generation.
Thanks again for your valuable feedback.

Hi @RoshanPatel
Thank you very much. Most of the knowledge from the past is not reaching to the present generation. I am really happy that I could reach out to the younger generation.
Hi @davidhyno
Happy to note that you liked my post. The present generation questions about every practices. So we have to come out with facts. Hence sharing my little knowledge.
Thanks a lot for your kind words.
Yes @TravellerG
Feeling happy and proud. Thanks for your wonderful support and encouragement. Without your guidance this is not possible.
@Gurukrishnapriya excellent initiative… off course i cannot forget, while i was doing my school my sisters use to send me to buy plenty of colors in 1990’s, but now my wife wakes me up and asking me to stand for security @5 am
, the tradition doesn’t exist anywhere in the world, i think the main purpose is to spray cow dung mixed with water for germs not to enter inside the home, and then drawing a kolum with rice flour so that the ants can eat, but now everything gets changed… even though your Kolam is awesome.
see my wife’s Kolam
Wow @ajlenin
Thanks for sharing your wife’s beautiful kolams. The designs are awesome. Have you ever wondered how perfectly all the sides has come. Happy to know that you wake up at 5 am in the morning. Waking
up early is very good.
