Very nice article & photos. The art of Kolam is meant for feeding the various insects like ant, house fly etc. More over the practice to use dry rice flour on normal days and for any special days / festivals, wet flour is used.

Wonderful #Kolam creations. It’s very colourful and eye catching.

We too do kolam during Diwali, Pongal, Onam and Navaratri.

I know in early days, Kolam used to be done with rice paste. Even krishna foot print used to be drawn in house floors.

Great contribution.

Thanks & Regards
