The Horseshoe Casino and Hotel is the most famous, economical, conveniently located, and yet lavish and plush place in the heart of Las Vegas.
It was formerly known as Bally’s and was famous for Frederic’s Paranormal Show, which is still running, though I did not watch it during my last visit to Las Vegas in June 2023.
Instead, I simply walked around gazing and marveling at the many super huge chandeliers that were spreading their glow and glitter all over the place.
The hotel property is connected to various other hotels, such as Paris Las Vegas, and one can easily access attractions like the Bellagio Fountains.
Here’s the comfy waiting area.
Another famous and convenient feature of the Horseshoe Casino Hotel is its huge and glorious Valet Parking there they have a dedicated spot for Uber pick-up and drop.
Many day tour buses from Las Vegas start from here and I too was at the casino for a bus pick up which unfortunately got rescheduled for the next day.
So, I decided to walk around and observe the casinos, shops, and restaurants.
Here’s the valet parking spot where many homeless people linger and ask for money, and food or simply try to lure tourists into their traps.
If you ever get into such situations, keep walking without looking at them or talking,
The top free attraction in Las Vegas, Bellagio Fountain, is right across the street.
Here’s the west side entrance or exit to access the main street of Las Vegas, also famously called The Strip.
The Paris tower is also next door.
A side effect of this is restaurants on the way to the fake Eifel tower have common drinks like water and coffee exorbitantly priced.
There was also a monorail, but it did not go to Mandalay Bay where I was staying so I did not take it.
Instead, I walked around farther and saw this Hall of Fame poker room.
This perhaps is the place where they exhibit those who lost the most money in gambling
The airport is also very close to here by bus and above all the newly built Las Vegas Sphere can be seen from the hotel rooms.
Here is the super huge check-in counter and they also have several self-check-in counters.
Horseshoe Casino and Hotel is one of the earliest hotels in Las Vegas and it has a cool, classic Vegas vibe.
Here is the photo of their famous bar that operates 24x7.
The place is buzzing with energy and to me it appeared to be having a good mix of entertainment and shopping.
I did not get to explore much beyond these areas, but the overall atmosphere was lively and fun.
Accessibility
The entire property is neatly leveled for great walkability, and they also have accessibility features like handrails and ramps where needed.
They had parking slots reserved for the differently abled and also specially designated zones for Paratransit.
