I reduced my list of who I follow to only 32. And I just copied all their user names into a text document. I then opened each profile to share/copy the links into the same text document. It too maybe 15 minutes for all 32 including using lens to convert the usernames to text.
Last chance, I guess.

I never quite understood the end goal of the followers feature. Since there is no way to connect with LGs through the Map, I thought it might evolve to that. But I agree with @LightRich in that it gives a sense of a Social Media profile, which is far from what Maps should be.
I can still see my list, @SholaIB. They’re hanging in there.
Tuesday 16th here too, and I can still see that I have 142 Followers and 187 Following. Was a bit disappointed to see them still there every day since September started. I don’t do social media, so this always felt like I was lured into something that I’d prefer not to be in.
Mine are still showing up…soon I hope.
@SholaIB Thank you for reminding us when finalizing this item. The followers and following options are still active here, but I believe they’ll be gone soon.
I honestly think the finalization of this item is a great thing. We were having a lot of problems with fake profiles and spam, as well as contacted by companies asking for fake reviews.
Maps isn’t a social network, so this type of interaction doesn’t make sense.

Actually for me it’s an important thing as there’s some followers that visit business through that following link ( something like when your follower get notified that you were at this night club yesterday and it was an fantastic moment and you do review think you’ve appreciated , nice time enjoyed and so on..)….
But Google must have it’s own reasons on its removal and I get the reason of @kurumipan like Map shouldn’t be like social medias…( that’s right too)

Además, como bien lo han dicho, se corre el riesgo de desvirtuar el cometido de los Guías Locales y quedar expuestos, dando (de buena fe) un sinfín de información, que bots o visualizadores, pueden utilizar para otros fines.

I followed and then unfollowed after I found out that this feature is not available. @tony_b It is not strange.
So it’s 1st October 2025, and finally the Followers and the following section have been removed from my profile on Google Maps.
When I started contributing to Google Maps, including the points, badges, levels, and views, this followers section was also a way of motivation for me, although it was not that relevant, at least in my case, as this was just a number count, nothing more than that.
For more than a month I’ve been hearing the news that the following and followers section will be removed soon, and today it’s done. When initially I opened Google Maps app today, nothing was showing in that section, including my contributions and points, just a message that the feature has been removed. After a couple of hours now the contributions and points are visible.
I know that many people have many memories with the following feature, and I also have some stories and memories attached to it, and I am going to miss it. I hope someday in the future this feature can return. I want to thank all my followers for giving me the motivation to contribute more and more. Goodbye 
Yes @Shaunak, I’ll also miss this feature🥲. It gave motivation in the early days, but finally it’s gone. Anyway, our points, badges & contributions will always keep inspiring us. Keep guiding…..

I can confirm followers are also gone on my Android phone after a quick update.
