The first Starbucks in Delhi

The first Starbucks in Delhi, located in Connaught Place, opened its doors on February 7, 2013. This flagship store, operated by Tata Starbucks as a joint venture between Starbucks Coffee Company and Tata Global Beverages, marked the company’s entry into the Indian capital. This store was the seventh Starbucks in the country. The company opened its first Indian outlet in Mumbai in October 2012, followed by three more stores in that city and two in New Delhi’s airport

Strategically located, the CP flagship store is unique in its contemporary design and celebrates concrete in its natural form, while embracing the Indian craft of weaving. The store’s design incorporates the Indian craft of weaving, reflecting the brand’s commitment to local culture and heritage.

I will visit here for a storefront photo when in Cannaught Place the next time, since I am not a big fan of Starbucks.

Reminds me of the visit to their first outlet in the world in Seattle.

Hi @curatorofmemory,

Thank you for sharing!

To keep the community organized. I am replacing the “Attraction” tag from your topic to “Food & drinks” as it will be a better fit for your topic. the “Attraction” tag is great for stories that focus on tourist attractions, such as historical sites, famous monuments, natural wonders, amusement parks, and more.

Please note, using the right tags and categories on your topics makes it easier for other Local Guides to find what they’re looking for in the community.
