#TEAMINDIA - 1st Anniversary Post

UNITED WE STAND.

Incredible #TeamIndia has proved this with 146 members and almost 60 posts to its credit in LG connect exclusively on heritage and culture.

Before getting into the post, can I request you to kindly give your feedback as to how the different missions of #TeamIndia helped you or has impacted you or how we can improve to help you more?

This group emerged blooming last year to accept @ErmesT #TeamChallenge.

This team was formed by India Local Guides & Global Local Guides, under the guidance of TravellerG and many other senior LGs.

The above is the Logo of #TeamIndia. After so much of efforts and discussions, the logo was created by @AmbrishVarshney

#TeamIndia has three specific streams:

Promoting & supporting LGs to publish their posts in LG Connect.

CL-21 World is the knowledge-sharing platform where we conduct the Weekly Grooming Sessions and Monthly Inspirational Meetups.

LGs Photo World is an exclusive platform for photography enthusiasts. (We shall have a separate post on Photo World)

Stream -1.

This group was started with the aim to promote Indian heritage, culture, food habits etc., and to showcase the different skills of the Local Guides. Contributions piled from the members and they were simply remarkable(Maybe we can mention some connect posts). This group is offering a great scope of learning, day by day. The motto of this group is SHARING AND LEARNING.

Stream -2.

Later on, we moved forward in offering guidance to LGs who require help and support to contribute to Connect and mentor them to make them ready for Connect… Many meetups were conducted physically and virtually. Active participation and enthusiasm by the members is really something special. #TeamIndia gave special attention to groom newcomer Local Guides.

This group is blessed to have many talented LGs from India & abroad to help, motivate and support the junior and new LGs. We are mentioning just a few names of most valuable volunteer LGs who made this possible. While @TravellerG and @jaisoncbe had sleepless nights, @Anil6969 , @AjitThite had contributed their utmost to accomplish the missions. Without the personal care of @Selvamani_R , this platform would not have been possible. In the beginning, many responsibilities were shared by Tejal, Sathya, Karan, Falguni, Jose Benjamin, etc. Later, the services of Sophie & Bijohn for WGS & IVMs deserves special mention. There are many, many more LGs who have contributed, we will have more of them tagged in the comments… Tushar & we are waiting for the restart of the paused WGS sessions.

The highlight is the constant support received from Connect moderators and global LGs, which is really a boon to this Team. This shows the wonderful global recognition received by this Team.

We take pride in appreciating the Local Guides for their wonderful contributions under this banner. A huge thanks to you all for your valuable contributions.

Also, I take this opportunity in thanking all the Global Local Guides, for your unparalleled support and continuous participation in #TeamIndia’s progress.

What we could humbly Do & What we Plan to do:

We could assist many LGs through LG Connect, Local Social Media, Weekly Grooming Sessions and Monthly Inspirational Meetups, including presentational & Video tutorials and live demonstrations. Hope we will have more opportunities to help you in the future - stay tuned to #TeamIndia.

I must say that #TeamIndia has done a great job during their one year journey. Happy First Anniversary to #TeamIndia. During this pandemic, I got a lot of chances to join the meet-up hosted by #TeamIndia. All these meet-ups have increased my knowledge and made my journey smoother as a local guide. I strongly believe other local guides who have joined virtual sessions must have enriched themselves. Long live #TeamIndia and keep spreading the power and spirit of local guiding among us and others.
