Support with reviews from far away places

Hi there. First of all, I apologize because I don’t know how to create a support related thread. Maybe an administrator can move it.
I am a level 6 local guide and I have a problem with certain reviews. Whenever I try to make a review out of my area that is related to an online purchase, I can’t get the review published. Can you help me to know how to publish reviews referring to online purchases where the store is far from my area? Thanks.

Hello, @JuanEscalona . Thanks for reaching out to us. You are alowed to review your online experiences, even if it is far away from your place. Here you can get some tips about this. In short, the main rule is: your review, as in a phisical place, needs to be authentic. So, if your review is not became public, it’s possible that they are infringing other rules. I suggest you to review the Local Guides rules and maps user contributed content policy.

Best regards,

alexandre

Hello:

I believe that my review meets all the requirements and that it does not violate any rules. The only additional advice that I read in the document that you pass me is that I could have a list of places where I have done business online. I’ll do that to see if I get the post. Thank you very much and if it does not work I will give you the entire review so you can tell me what could be wrong.

Thank you.

Hey @JuanEscalona ,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Since @AlexandreCampbell gave you a valid answer to your query, I will mark his comment as a solution. We do this for a better visibility, in case someone else has a similar doubt. I will also move your post to our How-tos board, where Local Guides ask questions. You can learn more about Connect’s labels in this article.

As for your review not being visible, please have in mind that this may not be your fault and right now we have an ongoing issue with reviews being marked as private. You can keep an eye on this thread for the latest updates. Have in mind that we will check your account and if your review doesn’t violate our policies, it will be live again once our investigation is over.

Hello there:
I have made the list public and the two places that I have included have a review and neither is published. I believe that my reviews meet all the requirements and that they do not violate any rules. I put the reviews here so you can advise me that it may be wrong.
Thank you.

Review 1:
Very happy. I bought a paella and paella pan kit online and I received the shipment in less than 48 hours and everything was perfect. I have been with paellas for years and they seem to me to be of very good quality and very good prices. Also very good attention in all the steps of the purchase. The web is very complete and with many tips.
Review 2:
I corroborate that as a Garmin watch user for years, it is a privilege to be able to trust the Garmin Iberia SAT. They have solved a problem for me, quickly, efficiently and with kindness. Something difficult to find these days. Thanks.
I tell my experience in detail. I had a Foreruner that had broken down and was no longer under warranty. I have called them and they have explained to me that the repair model is like the apple brand. You pay a fixed price per device and they send you a new one (refurbished). I accepted the budget, payment, I sent the damaged device to expenses paid by courier and the next day they receive it and they send me the new one. In less than a week I had the new equipment since it broke down. The perfect attention, I can not complain about anything. I do not go into assessing the cost of the repair because we already know that when they give you a reconditioned item logically it hurts a bit because the cost is a bit high, but that has nothing to do with the attention to the repair because you get a “new” one. I also received in a separate envelope the strap of the old one. Good detail. I thought I would lose it. I put this establishment on my shopping list online.

Hello there:
The problem is not solved as you can see in the reply. Please do not mark it as resolved.
Thanks.

Hey @JuanEscalona ,

I marked @AlexandreCampbell 's reply as a solution because he answered your question whether it is okay to review a virtual experience or a place that’s far away. This reply can be helpful to other Local Guides that are looking for the same information.

As for the missing reviews, there is an ongoing issue as I mentioned and many Local Guides are affected. We will check your account and your reviews will be live again once our investigation is over. However, please have in mind that this may take some time. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding on this matter.

Thanks for your answer. I’ll be patient. Regards.

No news about my problem?

Thanks

Hi @JuanEscalona ,

The information you provided was forwarded to the responsible team and they are still investigating it. Please have in mind that this may take some time and your patience is highly appreciated.

Hi @Bobiisha :
Thank you very much for addressing my problem and I will be awaiting a response.

Hi @Bobiisha:

Hi @JuanEscalona ,

Thanks for reaching out!

We will look into it.
