What is the difference between the two?

Hi @TiffanyStockstill ,
As you can see on the Street View definition “Street View, by Google Maps, is a virtual representation of our surroundings on Google Maps, consisting of millions of panoramic images. Street View’s content comes from two sources - Google and contributors.”
So, anyone can contribute to Street View, with a 360° camera or even with your smartphone! , if you have a 360° camera you can record 360° videos with GPS data and upload them with the Street View app (mobile) or Street View Studio (website), here is a quick introduction to Street View Studio here on Connect.
Long story short, Street view is the free service which Google provides 360° imagery of the world and Street View Studio is a platform to contribute to it.
Hope it is clear now

@LaloPadilla Thanks for the information. Let me further validate my question however. I am able to use the street view application and additionally the street view studio application to upload 360 imagery. What is the difference between the apps when I am able to do the same thing on both software applications? I’ve been using the street view solely but I do have the studio which does not provide feeds to my previously published street content.
I am aware of how to use Streetview and how the trchnology works. What I am confused about is why is there a StreetView Application as Well as a Street View Studio Application that does the exact same thing?

@TiffanyStockstill The main difference is that Street View Studio is used only to contribute( with more features, like adding a .gpx for GPS data), see your contributions and stats whereas the Stret View App is for all users, not necessarily contributors
@LaloPadilla Recategorized to How To’s.
Thanks for the info. Seems like Google has a few developers over working each other however because it doesn’t make sense to have two separate platforms if the only difference is one application is used for stats but who knows. Maybe Im missing something #streetviewapp #modified
Also Stats shown on the StreetView App show stats for your entire Maps contributions not just 360 street view. These are definetly two separate applications over lapping and over working each other. Google could cut one off to save the confusion to newly engaged street view imagery providers.
