Strawberry picking.... and wine....

Show me someone who don’t like strawberries! The iconic Mooiberg Farm Stall with its collection of colorful scarecrows is hard to miss, and said to be one of the big landmarks in the Stellenbosch area. Located on the R44 between Stellenbosch and Somerset West, Mooiberg makes for a great family outing in season. (strawberries only avaialble in-season) Season begins in November with the start of warmer weather, and visitors are able to collect a basket before heading out into the strawberry fields to pick strawberries.

It’s also worth visiting the farm stall and have look at their variety of dried fruits and nuts and gifts. Inviting colors - inviting taste - sit down at the Thirsty Scarecrow for a drink or two or enjoy a decent meal! or you can just enjoy the view and have a glass of the world famous Stellenbosch wines…
