The Diamond and Flower Ferris Wheel (ダイヤ と 花 の 大観覧車, Daiya to hana no daikanransha ), the Tallest Ferris wheel in Tokyo City. It’s also the 2nd tallest Ferris wheel in Japan. Its height is 117 meters or 384 feet, and the diameter of the wheel is 111 meters or 364 feet. It is located in Kasai Rinkai Park, Edogawa Ward, Tokyo.
The illumination lighting of the Ferris wheel reflects the diamond pattern and refracts the flower alike patterns. Thats why the Ferris wheel is named like this. t was opened to the public in 2001. At that time, it earned the title of World’s 2nd Tallest Ferris wheel. Currently, it is the world’s 20th tallest Ferris wheel.
If we look at history, we can see that the first Ferris wheel in the Asia continent was built in Japan in the year of 1906, which was erected in Tennoji Park, Osaka City. And the 2nd Ferris wheel was built in 1907 at the Meiji Industrial Exhibition, Tokyo.
Let’s go back to the diamond and flower ferris wheel. It has a fully air-conditioned 68 gondolas. A maximum of 6 people can ride in a gondola. There is a wheelchair accessible ride available .

I liked the 360’ view of Tokyo Bay. The feeling of being able to see the aesthetic and scenic places of Tokyo City such as rainbow bridge, special architecture like tokyo skytree and Tokyo tower, man made island entrance tokyo gate bridge, famous tokyo metropolitan government Building , aqua-line umihotaru all at once is incomparable. On a bright sunny cloudless day and if you are very lucky, you can also enjoy the beauty of Mount Fuji. You can also enjoy the view of Boso Peninsula, Tokyo Disneyland, Disney sea from 384 feet.
