Solemn Evening at Lake Tekapo, New Zealand

Can’t agree more @DENIT33 . When we came back here again for 2 days in a row, I think it means this place has captivated our heart with its sere beauty and peace

and look at that amazing cloud @OliverKIWI . One thing I really enjoy and love taking picture of here in Aotearoa is the clouds and the skies. Never get bored or looking at them and enjoying them whenever possible. And of course, taking pictures of them as well

Magic @OliverKIWI the high plains landscape in NZ really does look like another planet. So young the air hasn’t had a chance to wear it away yet.

I can certainly understand why someone looked up one day and thought That is Remarkable and the name stuck.

Whereabouts in Italy do you live @DENIT33 ? I love Italy and was lucky enough to visit Italy many times in the past.

I bet you have beautiful sceneries packed with hills and mountains as well as forest, vineyard and the ocean, peaceful spots with churches, squares and wonderful murals.

Hello @indahnuria .

I think every country has its beauties and uglinesses. Italy has many beautiful things and many things that don’t work, but I love my country, I was born more or less in the area where I live and I feel I have roots here.

If you happen to return to Italy let me know.

Best Regards

looking super cool @OliverKIWI … I went to Pacifica festival in Wellington at the field by the waterfront in Wellington but I think it was cloudy and windy that day hehehe.

But I just notice I have captured many dramatic skies photos along the way… like the one here from Astoria Park, NYC, near my house while we were staying in NYC back in 2014 - 2018

And of course, Aotearoa New Zealand… Here’s Queenstown from above, with the Remarkables being beautifully visible as well @PaulPavlinovich

I am one of those being awestruck by the Remarkables as well @PaulPavlinovich . Went there 3 times and it’s simply not enough :slightly_smiling_face:

Oh indeed @indahnuria @OliverKIWI . We went there in May and I was hoping for snow. On the last day there it was, finally snow on the mountains! It made my photos. I’ll have to dig out some good ones.

@PaulPavlinovich That’s epic! I am going Sony right now.

@indahnuria yes, we should do a meet up - how long you will be in New Zealand?

I was around the area last winter @OliverKIWI but haven’t got that good weather to track and explore the area. So we went to Lake Taupo and Huka Falls instead at that time.

I sincerely hope I can go back to Mt. Ruapehu again soon. Tongariro is really something but I have to prepare myself for the track :slightly_smiling_face:

Look at that dramatic sky @OliverKIWI … Aotearoa is really the land with long, white clouds everywhere. Stunning!

I will be here until mid 2025, if no changing in plans and promotion @OliverKIWI :grinning: .

I sincerely hope we can meet in person and this Idul Fitri break, I might be heading up to Napier and Taupo again, as I only have 2 days break after the Eid celebration and our open house. If you do have time, come and join the Embassy’s open house for Idul Fitri on April 23rd! It’s on Sunday  .

And @PaulPavlinovich … if there are any plans for the Aussie LG to meet, let me know… I would love to come if time permits and I can sneak out (and get the visa) to come back to Australia.
