Small Bins, Big Impact – A Step Toward Sustainable Cities

During my recent visit to Noida, I came across this well-designed dual waste bin system promoting waste segregation at source – one side for dry waste (recyclable items like cans, bottles, and newspapers) and the other for wet waste (compostable items like food waste and egg shells). I spotted this dual waste bin placed in front of the Haldiram outlet at City Centre. Here is the Google Maps link to the location.

This simple initiative contributes directly to:

SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities
By encouraging cleaner urban environments through proper waste management infrastructure.

SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production
Segregating waste supports recycling and composting, reducing landfill pressure and promoting a circular economy.

SDG 13 – Climate Action
Reducing waste and promoting composting helps in lowering greenhouse gas emissions from landfills.

Let’s continue to spotlight and appreciate such thoughtful initiatives in public spaces. Every small effort counts in creating a greener and more sustainable future!
