Sidhpur, a sacred town from Gujarat, India.

Located around 103 kilometers north of Ahmedabad, Gujarat state of India, is Sidhpur, a sacred town!

The historic town of Siddhpur is like an ageing queen living in denial. Lining the streets are colourful, grand mansions and tiered havelis that look distinctly European, most of them now shuttered and falling to decay. For the most part, the dusty streets are empty and the occasional resident puts in a cameo when you least expect it.

The houses in Sidhpur have a strong European character with gabled roofs, ornate balconies, pilasters, columns!

Hi @bhavinbhavsar

Thanks for sharing your photo. It’s absolutely stunning! These houses are really pretty. Are they used in any way now? Is anyone living in them? Is this the center of the city? What else can we see in Sidhpur? Do you live there yourself?

By the way, I’ve resized your photo to make it stand out. Thanks!
