Great post, but I’m sad to say that current site Local Guides Connect look like just another Instagram for most users. There are too many posts containing only photos without descriptions of the places where they were taken. I don’t believe that your post will change anything on this topic, but one can dream

Please click on this link, select your preferred language under Interface language, and click Save changes. Once you do that, you will be able to use the globe icon at the bottom of each post to translate it into your language!

Thank you for the great question! It is alright to have signatures/timestamps on your photos as long as they don’t take up too much space and you’re OK with showing that information. However, these aren’t considered captions, if that’s your question. This means that this text won’t be read by a screen reader, for example, or other assistive technology that Local Guides might use.

Thanks for the info @DeniGu and guidance for photos/videos uploads!
I have to admit that writing captions is always challenging for me as I don’t always know how detailed I should be when describing an image.
There is a Google Labs experiment that is related to AI prompting but I feel like it’s also relatable to writing captions! It’s a fun little game that asks you to describe an image and then it will tell you if your description (or prompting) is good enough to match the image.
I’ve played it and it gets progressively more challenging!

Indeed the You Tube links are supported in the current version of Connect, just past the link in the textbox and that´s it. That´s how i add videos in my posts because usually are bigger that 16MB. So the YouTube links works great for me! Just try it,
