What a brilliant challenge, @TusharSuradkar ! Your post truly resonated with me and sent me down a nostalgic path. It got me thinking about my own high school days here in Nanded.
For me, the most cherished memory was of the humble snack cart that used to stand right outside the gate of Indira Gandhi High School, CIDCO Nanded. Every day after school, my friends and I would rush over to buy our favourite chane futane, vatane, and kharmure. It was our simple, perfect routine.
This past weekend, inspired by the challenge, I called up my old school friends to relive that memory. The original cart is long gone, but we weren’t going to let that stop us! We found another vendor nearby, bought our snacks, and gathered at the old spot. It felt just like old times.
Here we are, back at the gate, snacks in hand!
We also took a walk inside the school. Seeing our old classrooms, with all the empty benches where we used to sit, really brought back a wave of memories. It’s amazing how a place can hold so much history and feel so familiar after all these years.
It was a fantastic day of walking through the schoolyard, remembering all the fun we had.
I’ve also added these new photos to the school’s location on Google Maps. It felt great to contribute to a place that gave us so many wonderful memories.
Here’s the Google Maps link to our cherished school:
Thanks for the push to go down memory lane. It was a truly heartwarming experience, made even better by reliving it with my friends!
Regards,
