I just found out that you can receive gift from google. But I have never heard someone from my country receiving it. Does anyone have idea bout how this things work? Just curious cause new in this website. But I have written and contributed in the Google maps app .

I don’t know how about others, but I can write here about my experience:
I’ve been contributing as a Local Guide for more than 5 years, reaching level 10 about 3 years ago.
During that time I’ve provided content, that has been viewed 152 million times and gained thousands of likes, etc.
In reward for all this I’ve got literally nothing, but problems with their AI.
Well, if automated emails telling you how good Local Guide you are can count as a gift, then yes, I’ve received lots of them.

Yeah man . I heard people receive freebies here and there . But all I get is thank you monthly or something like that. I thought it was normal 
. But actually this part of world is totally ignored.
Btw do you know why I can’t unlock the fact finder badge?. I have done alot of facts checking but I only have 1 fact checked in my Google maps one. So the batch is still stuck.

See that’s the problem. I don’t see anything . I have done alot of this . But I never get the point. I don’t know what’s wrong with this . Here’s the screen shot . I’m just stuck

منذ وقت قصير كنت مثل باقى الأصدقاء المرشدين اطالب براتب نظير مساهمات فى جوجل خرايط فما ان توصلت مع الجد وهو الأكثر خبرة منى وقراءت مقالته وتفهمت ما تعنيه فمثلا اذا تلقيت راتبا من جوجل لن تكون قادر على نشر اى صورة حقيقية قمت بتصورها على جوجل لأنك لم تاخذ اذن من مالكها لنشرها ولوقمت بنشرها لتعرضت لملاحقات قانونية ومطالبات بالتعويض من مالكيها فكونك لا تتقاضى اجر هو مايجعلك حرا فى ذلك دون ملاحقات٨ قانونية فالمبداء من انشاء جوجل خرايط هو تقديم خدمة تتطوع انت فيها للمساهمة فى جعل المجتمع والعالم افضل وهى رسالة عظيمة لا تقدر بثمن ويفهمها الكثير وغير قابلة للربحية اما بالنسبة للهدايا والمكافاءت اللتى يتكلم عنها الكثير هى هدايا قد يكون الاكثر فيها رمزية تحمس المشاركين لتخبرهم انهم الأفضل لانحيازهم لخدمة المجتمع والعالم والتى تتطوعوا فيها لاتفكر فى الربح بل فكر فى كونك شخص عظيم تساعد الناس اما ان كنت تريد الربح فيوجد منصات أخرى لتوفير ذلك ولا تندم على ماقدمت فى خرايط فهو الا تقديم الخير ومساعدة الناس وحتى ان تركتنا فنحن نتوقع العودة الينا فالخير فيك غالب ونحن ننظر اليك بأنك إنسان واخيرا نتمنى الخير للجميع

Hi @Pukar_adh welcome to connect i hope you doing super well. It just works on algorithm and how you are contributing on maps.
It’s a free space to contribute without expecting anything in return. Yes you also might get lucky to receive the gift.
Even i saw your profile your contribution on map is really but you have share a lot of personal photos of your and your friends. Google maps don’t allow personal photos it’s against violation.
So I request you to kindly remove all your personal photos from the maps thank you and have a lovel day

Hopefully they will do it again I believe it’s every now and then that it happens. Last year or the year before I had a choice between some socks, a google map pin, and some other things. I picked the Pin 
Hi Brother,
I am also a local guide from last 2 years. I reached in 6th lavel and have 2400+ points.
In this month, I got a Google Map Pin 
(designed as google map logo). I can use it on my shirt or bag.
But I am really happy for the Gift and also It is of no use to me.
But it is a priceless gift for me so I will keep it safe.
I haven’t even got a single gift from google yet and I have completed level five
