Hi Local Guides, I am very excited to share with you recap of my first ever virtual meet up at connect. It was hosted by very kind and experienced @KarenVChin on 18.4.2020, from San Francisco Bay Area, CA, USA, as the title suggests, agenda was all about introduction of local guides with their plants, gardening activities carried by local guides during these lockdown days, do we use google maps to find gardens and farms and lastly garden tips etc. Agenda of the meet up was very interesting to plant lovers and we had only one hour to discuss these all.
I was very excited to see the mango trees of @llankovan and papaya tree of @nyai both of them toured us to their gardens even in the night.
It was a great experience for me and I really enjoyed the company of host and attendees of the meet up.
My Advise. All local guides who want to attend any virtual meet up please make sure that you are wearing proper head gear, have proper lighting and quite room or atmosphere with better WiFi to fully enjoy the virtual meet up. Thanks all, love and light. #LetsGuide#LocalGuides
@Nasir11 , I am happy to read you enjoyed my virtual meetup and learned some new things.
Since you are new to Local Guides Connect and this may be your first meetup, I like to point out that if you plan to use photos or screenshots that are not yours, please get approval first and give credit to the owners where you got them as in the 4 screenshots that you are using in your recap. The photos you used are from a private Hangouts chat group, not in a shared Google Photos album.
I appreciate your excitement attending your first Local Guides virtual meetup. I want to point out that it is not appropriate for you to write a meetup recap before the meetup host gets a chance to post his or her recap first.
If you look in the Meetup board, “meetup recaps” are written by the meetup host. The host spent the time coming up with the meetup idea, creating the meetup, and hosting it. It is the host’s responsibility to write the recap unless the host wants a meetup attendee to do so.
To read more about how to write a Meetup Recap post here on Connect, please read this.
Thank you very much @KarenVChin for guiding me on this, I will take care of the points you raised in future meet ups, please accept my apology for copy right and other infringment.
i am sad i missed this meet up because i am passionate about trees and plants but i hope to have another meet up soon in day time to invite you all to visit my home garden i have fallen in love with !!!
